Hiring of Head of Renewables and Sustainability

2021.07.05

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Keiichi Suzuki at Advantage Partners (“AP”) as a
Partner & Head of Renewables and Sustainability on July 1. Keiichi will lead a newly established
Renewables and Sustainability strategy platform at AP that will pursue investment opportunities in sustainability, renewable energy, carbon reduction and related areas.

For several years now, we have been considering investments in renewable energy and related
areas both within Japan and in the region. The market for green and carbon reduction investment
in Asia, including in Japan, is expanding rapidly given the importance of initiatives such as the UN
SDGs and other net zero targets by governments and the private sector.

We believe a unique opportunity exists to leverage AP’s experience and long history in the region to
create a Japan‐linked platform that pursues investment opportunities with superior returns
satisfying investors’ expectation while also promoting further advancement of sustainability,
including reduced carbon emissions.

We believe other AP‐served funds will benefit from the establishment of this strategy. The
Renewables and Sustainability team will have an extensive origination effort that we expect will create new investment and co‐investment opportunities for existing funds. Expertise from this
team on ESG will also be leveraged across the AP platform to increase the quality of these efforts in
other portfolios.
