Leads AP’s activities in Asia. Investment responsibilities include HBMT, ESG, Guam Telecom, Elise, PCG, EKO and others.
Has led the effort to support AP’s Japanese portfolio companies in their expansion to Asia. Has supported the growth and transformation of many of AP’s Asian investments. Prior to AP, he spent 18 years at the Monitor Group, the global strategic consulting company, the last 10 of which he served as President of Asia. Started his career at SMC Corporation, the Tokyo 1st section listed factory automation company. Holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated from Duke University with a BA in Economics. Serves as Director of Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong, and on the MBA Advisory Board at Hong Kong University. He has lived in Asia for more than 25 years.
