Joined Advantage Partners in March 1998.
Responsible for investments in Seijo Ishii, Credge, Visionary Holdings (Meganesuper), Ray Cassin, FMI, ICI Ishii Sports, Kuraya, Kaji Corporation, and WATCHNIAN GROUP. For Meganesuper, while the overall eyewear industry was experiencing decline due to price war, executed a differentiation strategy to provide high added-value services to middle-age and senior customers, which successfully cultivated unmet needs of the target customers for longer line in good health and realized profitability with sales growth. Contributed articles and lectures include “Arrival of an public-to-private MBO era aimed for corporate value improvement”, “Role of buyout funds for the development of the senior management market for MBO/MBI deals in Japan ”, “Implications and key issues of using buyout as measure to grow retail and service business”, and “Casestudy of Business Revitalization without Delisting at Meganesuper”. Prior to joining Advantage Partners, engaged in management consulting for more than five years at McKinsey & Company and supported planning and execution of new market entry strategies, channel strategies, partnership strategies, new product development, cost reduction and organizational reform. B.A. in Economics from The University of Tokyo.
